With entries and nominations now closed, the power is soon to be handed over to you – the knowledgeable and passionate members of the KBB industry – as you are invited to select your winners in the 2019 BKU Awards.

As always, the online industry vote will be the only deciding factor – as who could offer a more informed and expert opinion than the very individuals that work in the sector day in day out? However, following industry feedback, the terms & conditions of the voting process have also been updated to ensure that only the very best take home an award. Only 10 votes will be permitted per company, meaning that those in the running will have to rely on their impeccable reputations and track records and rally the support of their industry peers in order to win.

Speaking on the update, business director Carl Hearnden says: “We continually strive to develop the BKU Awards in a way that will benefit the industry as a whole. This small change will make sure that every company in the running is operating on a level playing field and that, essentially, only the most deserving will take home an award.

Members of the KBB industry are invited to visit the BKU Awards website to support the brands, retailers and individuals that they believe in when voting opens on Monday 4 March.

What happens next?

The independently-verified online vote – which year on year sees thousands of individual votes submitted – will produce a shortlist, and ultimately one winner, in each category. These winners will be revealed at the hotly-anticipated BKU Awards ceremony which will this year take place as a glittering luncheon in The Pavilion at The Tower of London on Thursday 20 June.

The BKU Awards celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2019 and will be pulling out all the stops to ensure that guests enjoy an afternoon of celebration and networking of same high calibre that has come to be expected of the scheme.

This year, guests will be able to catch up with old friends, peers and colleagues and build new business relationship in a stunning setting and, with the new lunchtime format, enjoy the afternoon without the worry of missing too much time in the office. Tickers include an exclusive drinks reception, a sumptuous three course meal, abundant networking opportunities, high profile awards presentations and entertainment from the host (TBC) and unlimited drinks throughout the afternoon.

Tables at the revamped ceremony are currently available at a discounted early-bird rate on the BKU Awards website. Those that wish to secure their spot at a favourable rate will have to act fast as this special low price is only available until Friday 8 March.
