Building on the success of 2018s VADO Rally where they raised over £101,000 for charity, this September, VADO raised a staggering £75,000 for the African Children’s Fund in the first ever VADO Velo.

A gruelling 240-mile cycle ride through northern France, the inaugural VADO Velo challenged 38 cyclists to embark from Calais to St Quentin via Reims and Arras with all participants tasked with raising up to £2,250 each.

Aiming initially to raise £55,000 for the ACF, the inaugural VADO Velo smashed VADOs target sum to round off a monumental effort in the events first year.

The African Childrens Fund was chosen in order to donate all proceeds to their Kenyan Schools Programme. This programme is invaluable in providing assistance and support services to children and families in need, aiding six schools located around Thika, a small town near Nairobi, Kenya.

Adhering to their Corporate Social Responsibility, VADO have shown yet again their dedication to supporting a worthy cause that aims to benefit the lives of those who are less fortunate.
