Simon Taylor Furniture is committed to carbon reduction in its workshop and has recently been awarded a grant for a wood burner that saves over 26 tonnes of carbon per annum. The company has also set up an incentive scheme to recycle a customer’s old kitchen at a discount for a new one. All timbers are sourced from sustainable suppliers, paints are eco-friendly and water-based and the company’s next fleet of vans will be electric. The company also uses solar panels on part of its building, which is a plan to be extended this year.
